Happy to do indoor or outdoor track race. Ideally would like to do a two mile track race late October or early November off XC training. I just can’t find a race. Yes, I’ve tried google. Anyone know of any options?

Similar situation for an athlete we are coaching. Perhaps this thread will grow and a field develops. We'd prefer a mile ...
Hoka postal nationals (I think is the name?) Is 3200m. There are always results for them posted online, i know brody hasty did them last year.
Used the USATF calendar search for indoor meets:
Date Event Name Location Events
9/16/18 PVJ Summer 2018 Champaign, IL indoor T&F
9/29/18 Breathe Deep Philadelphia Levittown, PA indoor T&F
9/30/18 PVJ Summer 2018 Champaign, IL indoor T&F
11/30 - 12/2/18 VA Commonwealth Games Lynchburg, VA indoor T&F
More in December and January of course.
IDK where you live, but I ran the HOKE ONE ONE Dash For Doobie 3200m my senior year of high school. It's a great meet, and generally attracts some relatively big names. I think they sponsor similar events around the country.
Hoka One One Postal Nationals is definitely the way to go. If there isn't a meet near you, hosting a local race is an option through your coach. My high school did this a few years ago, and Leo Manzano actually came out for the races.
Coaches can tell how well you are performing in XC. NXN and Footlocker are great opportunities to show coaches how you compare.

PVJ = Pole Vault Junkies. They are pole vault only meets in a warehouse, not track meets.
Breathe Deep is probably something similarly limited.
There won't be any HS track meets until December when the indoor track season officially starts for HS and college. You are better off planning to have a strong HS XC season this fall and showing a strong finish against good competition at your state meet.
Uhhh, yeah it's in the fall, it's called Cross Country. Go run 14:30 on three different 5k courses and the schools will be beating down your door. They will clear money FOR you! Running is running.
Yes, running a fast Xc race is great. Good advice. I think I have a better chance of meeting recruiting standards from the 800 to 3200. I’m probably not the only one in my year who would like a last chance track meet to meet recruiting standards for track. Had a great summer base this year and was sick at the end of my junior season.
I didn't get good until the winter of my junior year when I placed 2nd at states. Plenty of time to get recruited and got a partial scholarship.
Why is this your last chance if you are only a junior? You have an entire year left.
recruiting "standards" are fake. A coach will understand a fast XC time for the track times it is roughly worth, especially if you can demonstrate a consistent progression/development. If you are concerned about "coach won't consider me unless I break 9:20 and I'm only at 9:25" you're wrong, he will consider you. If he doesn't, he's not a coach you should want to run for anyway.
Good coaches can assess cross country results. In my area, any high school boy which can break 15:00 at the Burke Lake course in Northern Virginia has the potential to be a good Division 1 runner, other factors considered as appropriate.
JDL Fast Track has a random indoor meet on Wednesday, October 24 and then an "all comers" meet on Nov 17, but that is the same day in the same city as Dash for Doobie.
If you can't find anything soon I would aim to put together a strong XC campaign. If you're in the northeast you could run the BU mini meets that start up in December. You seed yourself and can get dragged into a good race pretty easily. Always a chance to run a good 800/mile/3k there.
We've got a freshman on the team (mid major D1) who ran 4:46 for 1600 as a junior and didn't really get good until senior year track season when he dropped over 30 seconds, so it's just a matter of you recruiting yourself to coaches instead of waiting. And you can always get in somewhere and then try and join the team, which is what I did and it has worked out great
You may be able to set up your own meet. Are there other runners from your HS who would be interested? Are there runners from nearby schools? Are there any running clubs with runners of a similar standard? Can you find people who could pace you?
If you can persuade your coach it's a good idea that will probably help with getting the use of a track and the required officials (starter, timekeepers, track referee), so that the times will be official.
If you can't do this, perhaps you can still do a time trial and video it, as Trevor Dunbar did in snowy Alaska.
It seems like a senior should most likely be interested in this. But if you do really well in xc your senior year coaches will notice. If you're a junior just run fast in track that year and coaches will notice. Maybe if you're paranoid you'll get injured go find a track race but a better strategy would be do great in xc.
