Note: Please be respectful. Posts calling Semenya a "he" will be deleted. While I think that someone that is xy chromosonally, has internal testicles and no ovaries should not be allowed to compete in the women's category of professional athletics without treatment, I feel Semenya the person is worthy of respect. If I was born without a male sex organ, I'd be pretty irate if people were calling me a he.

I see similar things to that posted all the time on here. How does everybody know this? Is it assumed? Was that information actually released/confirmed by her?
No one knows that, because the assertion is false.
Nike, and the Brojos, continue to be extremely disrespectful to real women.
Never cared for Nike ads... as if it matters. Their cheesy ads should be nothing compared to their involvement in doping scandals, FIFA, IAAF, USATF, every douchebag athlete they sponsor, etc... is Nike on the wrong side of every sports related controversy in the last 25 years?
Nike is making a stand. No more racism. Enough. Even Serena just recently experienced it. Lebron experiences it EVERY SINGLE DAY!. ENOUGH. FIGHTING 4 LIVES.

Brilliant. Exploiting divisive individuals in protected classes is a cheap and efficient way to market your products.

You were born without a male sex organ, Rojo.

My thoughts on the ad is simple.
You is simple, Rojo.
Putting that ad out sure took a lot of. balls. Granted, they were undescended......
I can't wait for the Nike ad with Lena Dunham.
LetsRunners are going to lose their tiny minds.
i'm still in disbelief that you went to yale or whatever. that's like a 9th grade level analysis. you are really deep rojo.
Here we go again, again. Not all of us are brainwashed into thinking there is inherent racism in US society in 2018. As for our sordid past, we didn't stat slavery, we ended it (when the republican party came into existence to take slaves away from democrats). Stop buying into the narrative of the Democrat propaganda.

Nike is doing nothing but following the Madonna school of promotion.
Do something you know will stir up controversy, generate plenty of promotion via news outlets and "interest groups" and watch the free advertisement flow.
For anyone young that doesn't remember, google Madonna and her like a prayer video. Worked like a charm.
I think after 2016, we could rename it the Trump school of promotion.
Scott Adams calls it the narrow band of wrongness.

1. Racism is inherent in all societies. While it doesn’t make racism in the US acceptable, it certainly makes it not unique.
2. They’re garnering media attention, but really only for themselves. They’re getting applause from people who like to mouth off about injustice instead of actually doing something about it, and getting the rest either riled up or merely bored. What exactly is accomplished?
3. I’m not a republican. I do however support societal mores that promote national cohesiveness. I stand during the anthem. I also volunteer with kids who are at risk for tragic encounters with the police. Does Kaepernick? I don’t know, which is why I ask. Do you?
Calling the police racist is not acceptable. It's outrageous and untrue and totally disrespectful.
Kneeling is a sign of respect and reverence. It is not disrespectful. You know what is disrespectful...being murdered while unarmed and then the killer doesn't serve any time. That is the ultimate form of disrespect. People of color have repeatedly felt the ultimate form of disrespect for centuries in this country. Just the other day another black man was shot and killed in Dallas, while unarmed by the police while in his own apartment. The police said they thought he was robbing their apartment which she thought was hers. It wasn't.

The deplorables think that they have buying power. NIKE DOESNT NEED YOUR MONEY. I can't wait until they present an ad bashing the NRA. Nike is a global company that has already figured a way around the deplorable dollar. Very smart business move. Global acceptance is so much bigger than the Trumpsters understand.
Nike has lost its #1 asset: Phil Knight.
Just read a book called Start With Why by Simon Sinek and he discusses what eventually happens to corporate giants who lose their why.
It doesn't feel authentic that Nike takes stances on political issues. People make purchasing decisions based on deep, subconscious emotions and then rationalize a priori. Of course Nike has billions to keep it afloat. But I would argue that it has lost it's why, and people arent stupid, they will move on to something more authentic.

For years people screamed that corporations weren’t people and shouldn’t be allowed to donate money to politicians, but on the other hand these same people want corporations to take political stands by firing employees, refusing to do business with other people, pulling ads, etc. At the same time, others want them to donate to campaigns but stay silent on issues.
Corporations like Nike have contracts with a variety of people and private and public entities. They should remain neutral in these issues as to not imply endorsements from their many partners, such as colleges and individual athletes.
Of course you are right. But why then, do Nike and other companies purposely wade into politics?
The Left plays the game of coercion, in which the stigma of racism (or some other ***ism or ***phobe), is used to control people and institutions. They've played this game so well that companies think they can no longer remain neutral, and instead, they voluntarily wade into the political arena with the false impression that this will help their image.

This ad made me realize, more than anything, I had never heard Caster's voice before.
Everything about me is average. I can't imagine what her life is like.
Serena Williams will be next
I didn’t realise you have had access to Caster’s medical records? Because that is the only way you could make this statement. You have no idea about her - other than she doesn’t fit the male pre judged criteria for a woman - slim, pretty and blond. And because she isn’t this you find fault. She couldn’t run for nearly 2 years - TWO YEARS - whilst the IAAF subjected her to every humiliating test possible - and their doctors confirmed she is female. She was born this way. If you want to say she can’t compete then let’s be fair and disqualify anyone born with a natural advantage. It’s not normal to be over 6 foot 6 so anyone taller than this shouldn’t be allowed to play basketball - there’s plenty more examples. I wonder how any of you disrespectful sad people on here woukd fair if we all started talking about your genitals with authority ......
Is this the Nike Freak Show?
