So you're saying they minimize the risk of infection? ??
wasn't cold and windy at the water front?
He's said the compression helps with lactic acid in his arms in longer races, and other companies have made "cooling" arm sleeves, I bet they're closer to those.

Lactic acid really doesn't accumulate at the marathon though (typically).
to warm his arms
Yeah, really weird. See pics of him running shirtless with those things on.
"Sir ..."
Compression garments have not been shown to improve performance. I will leave the lactic acid comment because I just do not care about that myth right now.
Maybe he just likes the way it feels. Or he gets money when he shows them off.

It was supposedly hot out. Same for London Marathon. There are "cooling" armsleeves which are supposed to help wick moisture off of your skin, creating a cooling effect. Here's an example:
https://www.columbia.com/freezer-zero-arm-sleeves-SU9090.htmlThat would make sense for the two races we've seen him wearing them in, as well as the pics of him training shirtless with the armsleeves on.
Better question is why doesn't Nike sell products like this that their top runners are using. I would buy these if they were available or the tape Kipchoge and Rupp always wear on their legs. Gonna boycott Nike until they release this stuff to the public, can't think of any other good reason one would boycott them.

They have made arm coolers for years. Watch Ironman Hawaii.. a ton of people use them. Or any triathlon really. They've been around forever, but for some reason are just now making their way into running. I would be that runners take a more simplistic approach, whereas triathletes notoriously run with a lot of stuff (fuel belts, compression everywhere, visors, etc).
People like dumping water on their arms, then the arm coolers keep the moisture in longer and helps with cooling. Nothing new.
Yeah, that's right. Nike doesn't seem to have their stuff online though. Plenty of other companies do though I wonder why they do not.
Arm warmers...or alternatively, shooting sleeves. Cause ball is life

That is KT tape on their legs, you can get that stuff at any sport store

Yup. I started wearing them (mine are made by Sugoi) a few months ago - picked them up in a cycling shop. They aren't expensive (usually about $30 - I paid $6 for mine on closeout), and really do work. Worth a try.
It's not KT tape on their legs, some type of tape that helps you be a little more aerodynamic.
Gonna have to try the arm coolers. Heat is my enemy. Seems like it's worth a try even if I just get some sort of placebo mental effect.
