Point is that regardless of all the trumpsters not buying Nike gear at kohls anymore and burning their shoes, Nike will come out on top with this because they are on the right moral and fiscal side.

For the love of god don’t kneel in front of the flag. But, if you have a renegade booger by all means employ old glory.

The goal of progressive leftist ideology is to create division where none exist and to create fear and unrest among the weak-minded promoting the premise that some utopian idealism is the answer to all problems. The only way to achieve this is to breakdown individualism while promoting the State as the only true means of realizing this utopian vision. Truth and clear thinking are the first victims of their hidden agenda to bring about radical social change. Their only way to bring about this societal transformation is to gain more control through an ever expanding government control of all aspects of individual freedom.
Not exactly sure what Colin Capernick stands for other than promoting himself under the guise of the vague moniker of racial inequality. The NFL is populated with athletes who are disproportionately black. Are they being exploited with high salaries? Do they use their positions of influence to speak about the real issues at the heart of black American life? The number one predictor of poverty and other societal problems in America is the breakdown of the American family. Single parent households is the norm in black communities. This is the main issue athletes need to focus their attention on.
Nike is in the business to sell their products. Will their ad campaign using Colin do this? Maybe, maybe not.
S.O.W.P.
Man, that is the laziest political post I have ever seen. Middle of a Trump presidency and laying division on “leftists”. At least be truthful since there are good people on both sides.
If you are uncertain what NFL players are protesting for and what many in the NFL do in their communities you may want to read something other than infowars.
At what income level are you no longer allowed to stand up for someone being unfairly treated?
No maybe regarding Nike profiting from this ad campaign, they are. I guess it’s only fair and a lot more acceptable than a business profiting of a government position like president? At least they are bringing awareness to an issue a little more serious than an eyesore construction site across from a hotel.

Deliverance was set in rural Georgia.

The police are underpaid and they have a very dangerous job. NFL players are overpaid and are they do not believe in affirmative action or there would be many more Caucasians in the league. 99% of police officers are good so it is very disturbing to have NFL players use a broad brush approach to all police officers. It is no different than racism except it is against the people wearing blue.
The meathead idiots in the NFL can do any kind of non-violent protest they want. I'm just pointing out that it's aimed in the wrong direction (the flag) by a group that's hardly praiseworthy on average. If someone has little or no character, yes, that makes me less likely to think they have a point. If someone is ill-informed then of course I don't think they have a point. Many of these guys don't seem too smart, which jives pretty well with some of the football players I ran into in college. The flag certainly does stand for freedom for a lot of people, sometimes in spite of the bad policies of the government. Heck, Lee Greenwood even had a hit song with a similar line in it. Finally, you aren't really that upset about anything. You're just trying to get a brief feeling of righteousness by standing up for "something." It's called virtue signalling and I've begun to have fun by pointing it out. I don't know for sure, but it's a definite possibility that you had a substandard history education and were indoctrinated to the point where you don't question what you were taught. I think it would be an interesting, if difficult, exercise to trace the authors of your history teacher's history texts back to the Soviet-inspired fellow travellers who wrote them. It's interesting (and kind of scary) to see how this garbage is recycled in our modern era.

The flag stands for our country not freedom and sacrifice. The fact that our country is (allegedly) free is a byproduct of the flag. As a land of the free we should be able to speak our mind and protest the wrongs we see being committed. By your warped logic the nfl players do not have these rights because some of their members have committed wrongs. So, in your mind, only a select portion of our society has the ‘right’ to protest grievances? I guess we are trying to mirror totalitarianism to align ourselves more closely with our new allies (Russia and North Korea).
Hopefully I didn’t break any laws by disagreeing with you. I am sorry I am not up to speed on our new country regulations.
