I was at an intersection waiting to make a left turn. I was yielding to other traffic making a right lane turn from the right lane. But then a car comes behind us, sneaks into the right lane and honks their horn for 5 seconds.
It's like they wanted to scare us on purpose because I was too slow?
It is a fact that cars on the right-lane making a left-lane turn must yield to cars on the right-lane making a right-lane turn.
But this person, however impatient they were, decides to sneak behind us, and then blast their car horns and then they go straight through the intersection. We were in a one-way road where only one car can fit through, but I allowed enough space for someone to pass me on the right if they needed to.
My elderly parents were with me. My dad was pissed and started swearing.
I'm going to start honking back. And I think I might change the sounds later to make it louder. Why do people like to honk their car horns to scare others on purpose?
I can understand if someone is in a hurry, but they intentionally drove right next to us just to honk their horn and left speeding.
