He would have lead the NACAC 1500m race in Toronto, through 800m, having consumed 2 beers. We'll keep the ridiculous nature of championship 1500m out of this for now.
How I calculated 4:00 minute running pace for a beer mile. It's not intuitive, as beer miles walk 37M during the beer mile.:
1609.34 meters per mile
----4 chug zones in which Beer Milers walk through
---9.34*4= 37.36M of chug zone
Running portion of Beer Mile =1609.34M - 37.36M
---1571.98 meters of running
1500m at 4 Minute Pace is 3:43.40...four minute pace for 1500m)
+ 10.73 (14.9 seconds for 4 minute pace for 71.98 meters of running)
Total Running Time of 3:54.13 (for 4 minute pace for 1571.98 M)
*This may take a little more tweaking and peer review, but this you get the picture
Bellemore's chug zone splits and aggregate time (29.3):
---6.0
---7.9
---7.5
---7.9
Final Time = 4:24.4
Subtract Chug Time of 29.3
Bellemore's Running Time was 3:55.10 for 1573 Meters
This does not include slowing down into the chug zone to pick up beer
