Props that he ran it, given the weather. Too much showboating?

But the setting of that track is something else - fairly spectacular. Bike has trouble keeping up once he puts the hammer down.

If these guys don't like the showboating, then just f### beat him over the line! The guy in white at least mounted a semidecent challenge until the top of the homestraight. Laura Muir would have been in the mix...

Not with a 51 sec final 400m, she wouldn't. The weather was very bad: 9C with 25-30km winds.
53 flat last lap.
He didn't like the guy in blue, big push. Surprised he wasn't dq'd. If he does that to one of Al Salazar's watch out.
Everyone showboats these days. Flanagan’s celebration after winning Falmouth was pretty similar, but nobody calls him out on it.
Never had a problem with showboating. Let each athlete do what they want at the finish. Well, except for French steeplechasers who are jerks...

Time it in the video. I got 52.12.
Nice last 400 meter, Jakob is so mature, always does "what the position requires". (That is a chess term by the way).
Oh yes, what I was going to say is: Let them showboat, it spices up the events in my view.
Was that race this year or last year? Close is 53 in a huge wind, in a 4:03.54 race with lots of showboating.
Jakob races a ton. Imagine how much fun it would be if the BTC boys raced as often as he did.

Everyone knows Instagram promotion is more important than actual racing. Jakob manages to do both. Your age is really showing.

El Bakkali has raced twice this entire season.

Actually they have very long winterbreaks.

1100m pass at approx. 3.10.5. I use clock in videostream and pause the video at that very moment.

Well above I was going to correct you and say 52.9, he went through 1100m in 3:10.6, but then I realised that would be a total ar$ehole thing to do ? so 53.0 is close enough.
