Might get my dad a GPS watch as a present. He's an avid runner, not a huge technology user. Right now, he just uses a Timex, and then if he wants to know his pace, he maps it afterwards. But I think he'd like to see it in real-time.
I don't think he needs bells and whistles like heart rate or fancy interpretation software. It should be easy to use like a normal stopwatch, and also get your distance/pace. If it automatically uploads to his phone, so much the better, but not necessary.
The big thing is accuracy--he lives in a city with lots of tall buildings. I don't want to get a bargain-basement watch and have it be wrong or frustrating. At the same time, I want to stop at the point where the extra money is just paying for features instead of accuracy.
What should I get? Garmin Forerunner any good? What's the difference between different models?
