So if I found a video of a Kenyan acting poorly, I would be justified in posting it and making judgements about all Kenyans? Sorry, but you don't sound very smart.
That depends. Do Kenyans have a reputation for boorish, ignorant and offensive behaviour around the world? Apart from here on Letsrun and anti-Obama brigade, are Kenyans disliked abroad?
Good point. Obviously, there is some precedent of Americans acting out abroad, but Wtfer has a point as well when he says it doesn't represent all Americans. Letsrun is not a good sample of Americans, as I'm sure you know. However, while reputations and stereotypes may be wrong, the US isn't exactly working to shake them.
Unfortunately, this (a poor reputation) is what happens when you elect someone like Trump. Regardless of political party, it says something about a country (especially "the leader of the free world) and its inhabitants when the leader and figurehead they elect is someone who brags about sexually violating women, makes repeated and obvious "dog whistle racism" comments, refers to an entire continent as a "sh*thole", and claims one of the world's largest religions should be banned from immigrating. You're going to get backlash. He has managed to offend most of the world with his comments in some way, and hasn't truly proved he's fit to hold his job as far as domestic or foreign policy goes. That's not to say he doesn't deserve it, as he was elected by the public, but it's the truth.
As far as Kenyans abroad, I'm not sure how many Americans know anything about Kenya (and as a student I get to observe people demonstrating their lack of knowledge). To be honest, if you asked average Americans, you'd probably get answers about starving African babies, safaris, poor education, tribal stereotypes, and distance running.
