This is not "normal", appears you either have had multiple freak injuries or more likely are going to the wrong PT...
Cigarettes can be 8, 10 dollars a pack. Say they’re 10, a pack a day smoker would spend 11,000 or so over 3 years.
A six pack of normal beer is about 10 dollars. Someone who drinks 1-2 per day would only have about 2000 spent over 3 years.
8k is a lot for sure, but running is healthier than either alcohol or cigarettes, and you’re getting a lifetime of memories out of it.

For a 30 dollar copayment I get PT, chiropractic adjustments and a deep tissue massage, and rehab/ exercises in a gym.
I've spent more than that over a 2 year period and realized it was doing me more harm than good. Give it up. It's a farce.
