KORIR was unbeaten for more than a year in his event. Then came Nijel Amos who destroyed him in the just ended African champs. KORIR was wounded that day. This being his first outing after that defeat, KORIR has a point to prove. The question is not whether he will win the race. Neither is the question whether he will run a Personal best. The answer to those two is affirmative. The question is, will he break David Rudisha's World Record? There are rumours Bram Som has been asked for 48.5 pace through 400m and should continue to 550m. A time of 1:41.20 or faster is in the offing in my opinion. All these assumes great weather conditions before and during the race. I only wish Amos was in that lineup.
And talking of records, its time for Clayton Murphy to finally fulfill his promise to break Johnny Gray's American record.
