Coffee is for productive people. But beer is for slobs. Who drinks both?
Coffee in the morning, lager at night.

Almost every day.
Both at the same time throughout the day so I’m neither productive nor a slob. Don’t wanna show you up, OP
I've never drank a drop of alcohol in my life, but I drink copious amounts of black coffee everyday. Need I say more?
I love to workout hard on a Saturday morning, then have some beer with brunch. Take an afternoon nap and wake up with some coffee and football. Doesn’t get any better, but I’m pretty simple.
What kind of workout? Lifting or running?
And then you drink beer?!?
I don’t know how anyone just gets up and runs without something to start their day. How many hours of sleep do you usually get?
At the gym by 7am, lift about 30-45 minutes, then run between 60-90 minutes. Home with protein shake around 9 am. Shower, clean up and usually go to a restraunt with brunch and some drink specials. Back home for some football (when it starts) and a nap.
Um, ever hear of coffee porter?

I drink both. Also, sometimes I drink too much coffee late in the day & then I'll have a beer or 2 to calm the caffeine effects.
Wasn't it Tyrannosaurus Rex on here who said everyday he drank coffee & tea all day & then alcohol all evening. Wake up & repeat.
Recently enjoyed a Tired Hands Coffee IPA called Today Will Be A Good Day.
Plenty of great coffee stouts out there.
Whatever you choose to drink, drink quality.
I could never get into stouts. It makes me feel like puking. I have a friend who's a LOTR fanatic, and he says dwarves drink stuff like that.
Do you really enjoy it for the taste? Or is it because it's harsh in a deep, bold flavorful way?
Coffee, water, then beer. Or if running in morning it's water, coffee, water, then beer.
I drink coffee everyday. I gave up beer to diet last month. So it's wine, bourbon on the rocks, or gin/rum + soda + lime.

I drink bulletproof coffee (aka use steroids) and drink beer (aka do meth and heroin).
Coffee in the A.M.
Let's say:
Every time Sand Dunes starts a new thread we down a Shot.
I have never had a sip of coffee in my life, and never will. I can't imagine the attraction of a hot murky liquid. Yuck. I can have glorious ice water instead for free, and I'm supposed to pay for that crap? Oh the stupidity.
My only impression of what coffee must taste like is from a few samplings of coffee candy.
I have alcohol very occasionally. Not impressed. I did have several binges in college and my early Las Vegas years.
I quit both alcohol and coffee. Those are both for addicts and cope..
“Sometimes you feel like a slob, sometimes you don’t!”
pre-run : espresso
post-run : beer

Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
