It is equally likely that he runs a PR over the next 3-4 years. Why generate this thread?

I think that opinion is held by quite a few people.

Had the same reaction. Beat me to it. Think he'll do it in Zurich in 2 weeks.
Yes I would agree that he won't break 8, although I think he will continue to run low 8's and will medal in 2019, 2020, and 2021.
Small chance he breaks 8. No chance he sets PRs at other distances. Maybe the 10k.
Jager needs a few high level 1500 races before his next big steeple attempt. He also has some room for improvement with his hurdle technique. He’s a little to close to the barriers when he hurdles. This was especially noticeable when he was kicking for his sub 8, he ran up on the last barrier and tripped.
That seems to be 50/50.
You can be proven wrong quickly.
We'd have to wait years for you to be proven right and I doubt this specific thread will be bumped when he retires from the sport.
If he moves up to the 10k/marathon he'll be setting new prs in no time.
He'll break 13

You're flat out wrong. He was the best I've ever seen from day one.
He definitely needs to race more. In 2018 his races have been:
US XC Champs
An outdoor 5k to open
Pre Classic Steeple
USAs Steeple (prelim/final)
Monaco
That’s 6 races, including prelims, for the entire year so far. He might do one more besides the DL final but probably not. That’s ridiculous.

I hope you are wrong but I am starting to doubt Evan breaking 8 since he has not done it yet. Maybe he will prove us wrong really soon.
