Hey, I was hoping to hear some feedback about what you all think a reasonable goal to shoot for this upcoming xc season.
Last year I was a sophmore with really no real running or training until official practice began, and I was able to better my first race time of 21:06 (hilly course, but still very bad) to a time of 17:35 at districts for our league. The upcoming track season I focused on the 3k and ended with a time of 9:52. I took a short break after track, and since have been focusing strongly on running. Today I did a "fun run" 5k and was able to run an 18 flat. I was just wondering what kind of goal I should be setting for myself, and what you guys think is reachable but still challenging? I am really hoping to crack 16, but am not very sure if that will be doable. Do you think that I can get sub 16, or what is the best time you think I can achieve?
