A collegiate athlete that competes at a relatively low-key D1 School here. Ran 1:53 for the 800 m last year and 3:50 for 1500. As a very extroverted college student it's been hard to stay away from parties and booze, especially since I started my senior year in high school and enjoyed it ever since. I'd say I drink to at least a tipsy level about 2-3 times a week on weeknights, and almost every Friday and Saturday night, excluding nights before meets and high intensity track workouts... Teammate has been giving me crap about being a degenerate, but I just keep telling him as long as I'm running fast times it's all good. Any of you have experience with alcohol consumption and success in running? One of my buddies told me it kills nerves in your legs, not sure if that's true.
