My parents are elderly and have trouble with their water heater. They have not had a hot shower or hot water for two weeks.
We have an extended warranty for 9 years and the natural gas tank water heater broke.
We contacted Sears and they tried to reimburse us and offered a water heater + free installation, but all the water heaters in their store are too big. The only water heater that can be used in our house are ones that are 48 inches or less in height.
Sears is only able to find us water heaters that are 50+ inches tall, but none of them work. (We have to adjust pipes, change the foundation of the house to accommodate a water heater that tall).
Can anyone please help us?
This is our old water heater and it is broken now.
Sears is only willing to reimburse us $719.99 for another natural gas tank water heater. The solution would be to use a tankless water heater, but Sears will not pay the difference.
