I can’t believe that an outspoken female runner that markets herself well wouldn’t be more popular on Letsrun!

She ran the first half of Chicago with Deena in 2015. I was directly behind her from about mile 3 through 13.1 when she stepped off of the course (presumably as planned) after splitting 1:14:0x.. Probably some of the happier miles I have ever run in a marathon. I hope she runs 5:40-5:42 for as long as she can so I can get to have that experience again.

This is a very immature and spiteful reason to not like someone. The people on this website truly suck sometimes, especially you.
Take your phony "maturity" and shove it, honestly. You're no better. He is spot on that the "wanting to inspire others" act is total rubbish.
What about this runner? Do you hate him because he talks about how his running inspires others?

Meant to comment this:
https://www.flotrack.org/articles/6238675-i-am-the-dude-in-that-interview-inside-the-mind-of-jordan-mannI say 2:23.22, she tries to hang with her former teammate Jordan Hasay (Note she is faster at 10000 than Hasay SO FAR 31:36-31:39) but falls back due to inexperience at the distance, but still gets the Greek Record by over 10 minutes, she is really serious about this she even has an altitude tent over her bed, I saw in an article, Is Salazar coaching her?

You stay in your Pollyanna Happyland where everyone and everything is bravey and awesome and inspiring.
Really, if Alexi Pappas genuinely inspires you to run, or not run - more power to you.
Most people see through the act.

Forget about the Greek record, she hasn't raced in two years. That means either she's been injured or (more likely) doesn't care much about running anymore... neither bodes well for a fast time
I wonder if it's going to be like her appearance at the Indy Mini, where all she did was show up at the convention in a costume and the hob-knobbed at the finish line in pajama pants.

Markets herself with her mind rather than her looks, the hate is one of the surest things in human history. I don't think she'll worry too much about the opinions expressed here.

"MAN what an idiot for showing any personality.
Putting the matter of her personality aside, the main issue with Alexi is her finagling the system to run for Greece in the Olympics which seems suspect at best and traitorous at worst.
A true American patriot would not represent another country for personal reasons and self-glory.

Biggest waste of an Ivy education since the BroJos, all of this could have been achieved from attending any given art school. Not hating on her at all, there are plenty of attention whore scenesters in places like Boulder with a hella less talent and accomplishment, they DREAM about having half as many social media followers as Bravey Alexi has. Not like she invented this niche profession either Katherine Switzer has pretty much perfected it and she did it via old school media.

So how do you feel about Aisha Leer, David Torrence, and Gary Fanelli?
WARNING I'm going to use actual logic in this post
I have the same 5000m PB as her (15:28) but she has a better 10,000 by over 30 seconds. Even at my fittest I couldn't have matched her 31:40ish
our 1500 PBs are similarly bad, both of us probably didn't race it at peak fitness. she's run 53:10 for 10 miles on the road which is just under 5:20 pace, about equal or slightly better than I could've done for that distance. conditions unknown and I can't be bothered to check.
no half marathon PB for her, and no races over 10 miles
if she can get back to ~32:00 10k shape, I think she could scare 2:30. she probably won't run any faster than 2:29 in any situation as even if she gets fit, I doubt she goes out at a pace faster than 74min through the half.
Now, being a bit more realistic, she hasn't really raced in a while. That's less important for longer races as you don't really need to be as sharp to run 5:40-6:00 miles for a couple hours, but it's not exactly a good sign.
I'd think she needs to start racing soon to be ready for Chicago in 2 months.
the greek record of 2:33 (really? that slow?) should go down even if she doesn't get into great shape. needs good weather though
I'm gonna predict a 2:32 but that's assuming she does some racing in the meantime. otherwise she'd be lucky to run 2:35
Let's not put Katherine Switzer on the same level as Pappas. What Switzer did required a lot more courage than creating some mediocre art. Yes, creating art and putting it out there and opening yourself up to criticism takes some courage, but not the courage that has made Switzer's story still resonate decades after it happened.

Lol, seriously? You could've at least put a couple of filler sentences in between completely contradicting yourself.

So you admit that you're not actually upset at Pappas claiming that she inspires runners, but that she ran for Greece instead?
Also, I would bet that you, Trump2020, would run for another country in a second if that meant you could run at the Olympics.

Countless American athletes have the Olympic standard and don't make the Olympics, yet with very few exceptions, all of them continue to represent the US. As would I.

Of course it will be. She'll rake in some appearance money, promote herself during the expo, and then DNS or DNF the race.
