Remember kids, there's a lot of cheating in ultras but nobody is doping.

Who says that? I've never heard anyone claim that.
Western States, UTMB, and Comrades drug test.
No, it isn't that stupid. It has nothing to do with the crime. It has to do with the imbalance of wrath thrown at people from the mob of the internet. It may not be marathon cheating, but one day someone is going to catch a foul ball and forget to give it to the kid next to them or accidentally park in a handicap space and get profiled by the "gotcha" local news. When that day occurs and the wrath is poured down, they might not be able to handle the abuse and decide to end it.
The question is whether you want to be a part of the reason someone made that tragic decision. Regardless of whether there are legal charges, it seems to me that people are letting their Id take control and becoming sociopaths online.
When you read Hawthorne's The Scarlet Letter, do you focus on the fact that Hester deserved to wear the red A on her chest? Sometimes the punishment is more unethical than the crime.
I despise a cheat as much as you, but I try to maintain some level of empathy in my heart. It is stolen valor, for sure, but do I need to cheer at the gallows?
Personally, I do think the media takes things way too far all the time. They sensationalize everything for clicks and headlines. There are likely a lot of lives lost due to unfair and imbalanced media scrutiny. We can all justify it, but we know it is wrong.
It's good to keep people honest at races, and I like that someone is watching. I think the better way to handle this is for the guy who owns this website to work with race directors as a contractor. It is probably a good business opportunity and it would be a more humane and effective way to handle the problem of cheaters.
I don't know, maybe I am just too soft.

"Beauty queen"? Pero ¿dónde están las tetas grandes?
She must have cheated on the beauty queen part to because I am seeing only 7 out of 10 and probably only 6 w/o all the make up and photo shopping.
It’s not likely to result in charges, but it could be a legal battle.
It appears they were the first to break her cheating. They're also claiming she lied about being gang raped and having cancer.

They dope with cookies and ice cream. So many fatsos at ultras.
Saying someone would be charged with murder for reporting a cheat is not the same thing as saying people shouldn’t hurl abuse on the cheat. I don’t believe it’s wrong to write news stories about people caught doping or otherwise cheating at public events. Should people be able to forgive cheaters? Of course.
On the other hand, what about “famous” people, such as SFH? That’s a much more egregious situation. She’s been roasted for something that was a private decision. Should her identity have been outed and her private activities reported? I’d say no. She’s gone on to talk about it publicly so it’s fair game now, but the tabloid media reporting on the private affairs of people is actually disgusting, not reporting about someone who cheated at a public event.

You’re an idiot, too. You think if someone cheats (or does anything bad) in a public place a “reporter” can’t write a story about it without exposing themselves to the possibility of murder charges if the cheat offs themselves? That is not cyber bullying. Use google and maybe you can learn what cyber bullying is.

Dude, how come you're surprised by such a thing? She's a beauty face, provides advertisment for business, that's why gets sponsored. That's a super common case, get over it.
would have been better to let her try to do the Skyrunning world championships...Glencoe is a serious course. Odds are they wouldn't have let her when they tried to vet she was qualified...but if she did get to the start line there's no cheating...just terrain she would be incapable of covering.
