Why do some guys like crazy chicks? .
I get they are exes, but how did they make it to the relationship to begin with? And... why are they STILL talking about them?
Bonus question: what can I say to get guys to stop talking about exes and see what's in front of them?
So a few things here.
1. Guys are largely terrible with conversation unless we're talking about ourselves. We just don't know how to actually listen and start a conversation about something we're unfamiliar with. So take everything you hear with a grain of salt and don't take it all to heart.
2. Men and women alike will often talk about things that fall outside our normal routine because that seems more fun to talk about and also helps everyone see we have life experience and are ready for a change. And crazy exes just seem like both fun to talk about and a good point of how we previously made mistakes and are aware of them. So just because we like talking about the crazy ex doesn't mean that's what we're looking for.
3. Crazy can be hot. And guys, as mentioned above in #1, are dumb. We're like moths to a flame and it's hard to resist a hot chick even if she's crazy.
4. If we're being honest, hot chicks are often crazy.
Good luck and be confident in yourself.

I like a leader. Self awareness. Courage. Balls.
Lol, how surprising.

The answer to both questions is the same - frequent fellatio.
Ok, there are alotta juvenile people here who clearly haven’t been in a decade-long relationship so I’m just not going to reply to the trolls. Come back and talk to me when you’ve been in a long relationship. Dr Philip, I’m not trying to be rude to you but I’m pretty annoyed with some of the other people here so if I come off as defensive, it’s not targeted at you.
As for the age gap question above, well, it has it’s challenges. We “did our own thing” in the beginning of the relationship. But we were completely honest in who we slept with and who we had been seeing = no lying or deceit. I really like it when people are honest. I’m pretty open minded but it requires both parties to be totally honest.
I met him when he was 37 and I thought it was fantastic. First of all, I started making money when I was very young. By the time I graduated I was saving 10k monthly. I work with family and we own a chain of spas. With that alone, it was hard or almost impossible for me to date people my age. The things I could afford and enjoy, guys my age could NOT comprehend. Nice meals and nice vacations are what I’ve always enjoyed, but the guys my age were backpacking and staying at hostels. And anyway, most guys get intimidated dating a woman who makes more. I’ve asked a lot of my guy friends if they would date a woman who makes more, and the answer is always an astounding NO. It’s shocking and discriminating. So, I dated older. I enjoy the mental stimulation and stability of an older man and always have. When it comes to planning for our future, talking about saving, retiring, paying for our kids etc, my husband is super grounded and I love his approach.
That being said, sex was fantastic when he was 37... he’s getting older now, it’s still good, but not the same, if you get what I mean. And you stupid guys, don’t even reply to this unless you’re at least 45 OR understand that the male anatomy doesn’t work the same at 18 and above 43. I’m a woman, my sex drive goes up and I’ve gotta deal on my own. Also, all he seems to want to do now is to stay home and watch Netflix. I kinda still want to be out with friends and stay out, but that’s no longer his cuppa tea and his energy levels are lower. However, he’s so loving and so sweet that he lets me go out to do whatever I want. I figure I’ll eventually get to the laid-back stage in 10 years. Dating someone within 1-5 years difference would be better if you guys wanna do lots of things together.. but you can always find friends for activities. Maturity, however, can only be earned from experience and I really need that in a man.
And to all these haters who are calling me names? Please. I’m unapologetically ambitious and I’m a straight shooter. When my husband lost his job for 2 years, I held down the fort and took care of every single $. I think some men would really appreciate me sticking around AND paying for sh!t like a dutiful wife. Go find yourself a woman who can do that sh!t for you AND stick by you. I bet you can’t. (This is my anger directed at the juvenile men on the forum.) And that’s not to say my husband doesn’t do well, he’s an attorney and he does well now too.
An age gap isn’t a problem if both people can grow and adapt with the changes in life. We deal with our challenges by being honest with one another. Sexually, he’s sometimes bothered he can’t satisfy me as well as before, but I have a pretty good toy. All relationships come with challenges. It’s how we approach problems and solve them together that makes it work. He’s also gonna get older sooner and I’ll hafta look after him earlier.. that will be challenging. He had a hernia surgery a year ago and I was like ??!! I had to look after him and two young kids at the same time. That was the first time I felt that the age gap would be a problem in the future.. Which is why I’m pushing him hard on exercising and maintaining his health for our family. Anyway, I’m still figuring out my way in life. I don’t claim to know everything, but I think I’m doing OK right now.
Thanks. I think we do need time to process everything so it's not necessarily about the ex. A lot of it is deciding our part in the relationship and also what we are looking for or not looking for.
I am very confident in myself. That's why I am *not crazy* I know there are plenty of fish in the sea to not get caught on one. ;)
crazy chicks are also crazy in bed and can suck a football through a garden hose

Because guys order of interest in women is generally arranged such that they get into bed completely ignoring crazy, and then cool off and the crazy is all that is left.

I think this guy nailed it.
Because anal
You say you graduated college, yet you “held down the fort” and said “it has it’s challenges”
These elementary mistakes lead me to conclude you never even graduated high school.
Therefore - 1/10
Don't forget the "astounding no".
