Russia has offered to build a BRIDGE from Russia to Alaska which will make it possible to truly run all the way around the world, except the Atlantic ocean.

It will however be incredibly dangerous to run across Siberia and Alaska considering all the bears, and even tigers.

Who says she's unattended?

She is also the main breadwinner and the reason why he can afford to do these major runs and multiple Badwaters, etc.

As to why she is with him, everyone who knows him speaks well of him. Maybe they are just genuinely in love. Maybe she enjoys her work - he supports her career pursuits and the frequent moves while she supports his running pursuits.

They seem like a great couple and I wish them both well.

I'm surprised Pete's epic run isn't getting more love here - he's been rocking it recently!

Nearly 80 miles so far today (still running), on top of 66 yesterday and 61 Monday. All this solo, unsupported, & pushing all his supplies in a jogging stroller through the wilds of the Yukon. Long way to go but he's looking strong so far - go Pete!!

Mostly roadside motels and the like so far, it seems (according to his daily Facebook posts). He's brought a tent and has camped a couple of times. His daily mileage seems a lot more variable than during his run across America, no doubt due to the uneven spacing of available lodging.

Unfortunately out of control forest fires have closed the Alaska Highway immediately ahead of Pete's current location so he's been forced to wait for conditions to improve. Hopefully he'll be able to safely continue without too much delay.

It's a shame as he's continued to rock his unsupported 5,000+ mile run: over a recent period of 6 days he exceeded 70 daily miles four times (including an 83 mile day). All this unaccompanied while pushing his supplies in a jogging stroller!

Is there an epic Pete Kostelnick Alaska to Key West thread somewhere that I overlooked, or is this it? Pete's covered 1600 miles already in 31 days, and has made it from Alaska's Kenai Peninsula to somewhere on the northern border of British Columbia. Averaging 50+ miles per day, self-supported with all his gear in a jogging stroller. Where is the love? Or at least, where are the haters? Anything? Hello?
