The summer is dragging on and every morning I wake up and fall into a deeper depression because my life is devoid of sweet, sweet south/southeast high quality head to head cross country action. In the past few years, the south has begun to gain some momentum. Christopher newport made it to the podium, but graduate their talented top three. Rhodes picked up wash u legend Josh Clark as an assistant coach and made it to Natties. They hold on to the surprisingly quick Spencer Fields for one more year, and return 4 of their top 5. They look to be favorites. Emory has a young team full of promising potential, and always comes to play. They'll likely be led by Luis Torres, who looks ready for a breakout year.
For individual honors, it looks to be a fight between Logan Mckenzie, Robert Hiegel and the top two from Rhodes. Should be a fun year. Predictions:
1. Rhodes
2. Emory
3. W&L
1. Mckenzie
2. Hiegel
3. Torres
