depends, doesn't give me details or evidence.. doesn't show what drejka's demeanor was with the woman, maybe he was displaying violence and the other man shoved him to protect his gf. but even if not I don't think you can just shoot someone for pushing you over, but I think if after he was pushed over if the other guy was coming towards him to try to cause more bodily harm than yes he was okay to shoot the other guy because no telling what the other guy could do to you while you are on the ground he could stomp your face in for all you know then you're dead.

https://www.cnn.com/2018/07/23/us/florida-stand-your-ground-fatal-shooting/index.htmlExcuse me if this was already discussed but I haven't been on letsrun in months. I'm curious about what white folks think about this murder. To me the cowardly white guy brought a gun to a fist fight. It's terrible but I guess it's legal in Florida(unless it's a black person doing the shooting). Pretty sure a Black lady in Florida was put in prison for firing a warning shot at an abusive ex who was trespassing at her home. The video above shows the Black guy backing away after pushing the other guy. So the white can't claim he was in fear of his life. I just don't get it! Well, then again I do get it. We are living in Trumps AmeriKKKa.
Yep, they gave a black lady 20 years after rejecting her stand your ground defense. She fired a warning shot to stop her ex husband from attacking her and yes, he had a history of abuse. The lady got out after serving almost 6 years in prison. It’s not justice, it’s “just us”. Different set of rules for Black people.

Or get a fake plate when you don't need one. Oh I'm so fat that I need a handicap plate.
Everyone in the whole situation is guilty...of living in Florida.
You make that choice you get what you get.
This is one of those rare pleasant occasions where everyone involved in the situation is such a douche that we can be happy about the outcome regardless of who dies or goes to prison. Family is so lazy that they literally cannot be bothered to drive 15 extra feet to park legally. Dead guy engages in an act that he could well have been charged for if he hadn't been shot immediately after. Shooter decides that he's in charge of the parking lot and orders people around, then shoots someone who isn't really threatening his life. Trash all around, and they can all die for all I care.
I will not watch a sick video of someone being murdered. I will only comment to say that one should not engage in confrontations of any sort with strangers. People seem to have this notion that they can yell and scream at people they do not know. This is not true. Either one of these guys could have been shot.
My friend took his family to a minor league ball game a few summers ago. They were tailgating before the game, or picnicking I guess because it was his family of five and they weren’t drinking.
A guy pulled into the space next to theirs way too fast and clipped a camping chair that one of his kids had been sitting in just seconds before. The guy gets out and doesn’t apologize. Big fat guy with an Affliction T-shirt. Just looks at my buddy and starts to walk off.
My buddy says something to him about pulling in too fast, and he just attacks my friend. In front of his kids. Takes him down and punches him repeatedly. Cops are there within seconds, guy gets arrested, has history of fighting, mental health, arrests. Buddy presses charges but eventually drops them because the guy was too messed up to even prosecute. Got locked up on past charges.
Not worth engaging in confrontations. Just walk away.

So parking in a handicap space is worthy of the death penalty? Smh
Sick, demented fvckboys like you is the reason I stay away from letsrun.
Let's be clear that the dead guy is the one who turned an argument into a physical altercation. No, the shooting wasn't justified, and the shooter will probably face charges, but play stupid games...

People whose first reaction to an obstacle is violence (coming out of the store and shoving some guys to the ground instead of saying "hey man, chill. What can we do to fix this?") are no more than wild dogs. Wild dogs see things, and they bite them.
Additionally, the shooter should go to jail as this incident doesn't pass the "would a reasonable person fear X" test.
Even more additionally, people who aren't handicapped shouldn't park in handicapped spots. This kind of "Screw other people, I'm going to engage in social deviance because its easier for me" attitude is extremely damaging to the social fabric and its the sole reason we don't have anymore common decency in this society anymore.
1. If your attitude in life is IDGAF about people in wheelchairs I need my sprite and beef jerky 35 seconds sooner then I'd say you deserve a bullet (or social reform, but thats another topic) because you aren't conducive to pleasant society.
2. If you shoot people in arguments over handicapped parkings then I'd say you deserve a bullet because people who are conducive to pleasant society don't argue over parking spaces.
It was on the local news here in Shitwater "clearwater".

Some kids watched their dad get shot to death in front of them. It doesn't matter that their father parked in a handicapped spot like a d*ckhead and then unnecessarily shoved the guy to the ground, that's about as awful as it gets and it's really not something that should need to be explained to you.
The video shows the murderer pull his gun from the ground, the guy who pushed him backs off, and then the murderer shoots him even though there was obviously no threat after he'd drawn his weapon. His history shows that he was eager for a fight and he should go to jail for the rest of his life. Gun nuts are such pvssies.
It's amazing that the police believed it was justified. When the shooter took out the gun the victim backed off, but the guy shot him anyway. Hopefully the DA will have a different opinion from the police.
I watched a video from a local news station that had an interview with another black person who said he also had a confrontation with the shooter where a gun was pulled on him.
I don’t see the problem here. If someone bigger and stronger than me pushed me to the ground and likely threatened me by saying that he will kick my butt then I’d be scared for my life and if I have a gun in my pocket I’d shoot him because I have a family that I’d like to see for dinner. Sure, the dead guy had a family too but in the moment I’d be thinking it's me or him. And I’m choosing me every time. As the Police dude said, the law is simple here. It’s not a racial issue (because a black shot a black). If it was a racial issue then the shooter would go to prison for life.

The shooter was white. As far as being home for dinner, it's unlikely the victim was going to kill him with his bare hands.
You do not get violent over any parking situation. If you are going to get physical with anyone because of parking you deserve what you get.
Obviously nobody who isn't used to solving situations by using physical force is going to react by pushing somebody. So the big guy finally got what his kind of behavior deserves.
The dead guy antagonized the shooter.
It was not a justified killing but he would be alive if he acted appropriately.
These are two unhinged people who changed their lives forever in one moment of regret.
I would not let the killer go without serving time for manslaughter.
I haven't watched the video, read the article or even read the OP but if the victim was black and the shooter white then it was probably justified.
