Hello fellow runners:) My name is Andrew and I’m gonna be a Freshman. My season goal this year is low 18’s. I can currently run a 20 minute 5k (on a 4 mile run) and my range of times is (100-14, 200-?, 400-64, 800-2:24, 1600- 5:25, 3200-?) I have been running 25-35 miles a week and am up to around 150 this summer. I feel like my goal though is like almost out of reach. I have done multiple sub-6 pace workouts but it feels like I’m not progressing. Do you think season practices are when I’ll improve the most or should I set my goal around 19. I am running a 5k tomorrow night so that might be a big factor (1st one I’ll race all summer) but I feel like some of you more experienced high school/ college/ other runners might have felt the same way before and you’ve had to deal with it.
