Col Du Tourmalet? These 2 stages bring years to my eyes. I had the pleasure of riding through the Jura mountains and Alps and watching the 96 tour in person. I pushed my bike up quite a few switchbacks. I can't imagine attacking Alpe d' Huez.

There is no way in hell Thomas just lets him go.
Minute and a half up, yellow jersey and the chance to win on Alpe d'Huez...I think his radio might accidentally break half way up the climb.
A lot depends on what is happening behind them but he attacked today instead of working for Froome so I cant see why tomorrow will be any different.

In 2010, UCI anti-doping officials analyzed biopassports and concluded that Geraint Thomas was most likely a doper. Out of 10, Thomas was ranked 6 (Lance was ranked 4) where 0 was no suspicious blood values at all. Froome wasn't in the list then, as he was only 25 years old and still learning how to cycle.

The best day is when the route includes the Telegraphe, then the Galibier, and finishes on Alpe d’Huez. Now if only they’d do it clean...
Circle of death in the Pyrenees is always great theater. Tourmalet, d'Aspin, d'Asbique, Peyresourde.
It's definitely a great stage if not the best! This years ride was just the best ever with a number of contenders right up until the end.
Seems like other teams have tweaked their doping cycles, easily 3-4 guys that ride with the Sky boys, should be fun rest of the tour!

Is there a more doped-to-the-gills cycling team than Team Sky?? I say no.
Maybe related or maybe not - Any purist cyclist most likely cringes at Froome's awful form on the bike.
