Hi Guys so this thread is exactly as it states in the title. 65 Miles a week off singles.
So after about 3 to 4 weeks of doing doubles on some days a week and singles the other days, im really finding it hard to recover and i just feel so heavy all the time. Even after having days off.
Post marathon in April, when i raced with close to no training like an idiot... I have not been able to build back my speed, strength or any fitness atall in that matter. This time last year i was 15.45 for 5K and 1.14.38 for Half M on only 40 miles a week but now i feel like i would probably only be able to run 16:20 and 1.16.00 for a half.
And i think its down to not having enough rest due to doubles and feeling so so sluggish bevause of that. Is there a way of running 65 miles a week (over 9 miles a day avearge) in singles? I definitely think i could perform better off singles. Like i did last year but on 40mpw.
- Long runs are around 13-16 miles
- Tempos are around 4-8 miles (+ a mile warm up and mile warm down)
- 3 x Track workouts (Tue/Thur/Sat) between 4-6 miles worth total
