Pretty much ate nothing today except cereal, chips and fries. How much will this affect me if at all?

Not a big deal at all unless worried about weight, and if so then it depends on the quantity(excess calories

What does your diet have anything to do with the topic?
Anyway, It's not really cool that you cheat on your wife. But since it is only occasional, it's probably not a huge deal. I don't agree with it, but you have to make your own choices in life.
If you are gaining more weight than a 10 mile run can run off, you're eating too much
I don’t think that anyone who isn’t already fat believes in the concept of “cheat days”. Just eat a healthy, balanced diet every day, and occasionally indulge. But an entire day without any vegetables, fruit, or other “real” food would not be considered a normal indulgence. Eat a damn salad.
