Both.
I hope he runs a 3:32 and shuts the haters up.

How can there be haters on a 17yo Norwegian kid that runs 3:52?!
We will see Jakob against Wightman... that will be interesting.

This site is full of soyboys and Kenyan apologists who are quick to point out that some random "17-year-old" African has run faster.
Remember when Ronald Kwemoi ran 3:28 as a "teenager"? Already toast at "22" - lol!!!!!!!

You are laughing at a guy with a 3:28.81 PB? You do realize that Seb Coe's PB is 3:29.77, Ovett's PB is 3:30.77, Cram's PB is 3:29.67, Aouita's PB is 3:29.46, that the US record (Lagat) is 3:29.30 and that the record for a US born runner (Centro) is 3:30.40.
BTW: Kwemoi ran his mile and 3000m PB last year (a few months before his 22nd birthday).
The odds that Jakob goes faster than 3:28.8 in his career are low. Not that he will not have a great career, but 3:28.8 is very fast.
^ Right on cue!
LetsRun: the soy is strong with this one.

+1. And LOL at Kwemoi being "toast". He hasn't run since his injury last year so wait for his return before you rule him out.
He'll run around 3:34.

Crazy to think the 17 yr old could run much faster than the fastest US pro this year - Andrews, who has run 3:36.
