Are all these doubles even worth it? Are they helping or just prolonging my recovery?

Are doubles worth it? I prefer to do mileage (even 100+ miles a week) in singles. You'll never build the same kind pf strength in your legs than with moderate to high mileage in singles. This means most my easy runs are 10-15 miles and my long run 20+ miles. Also, experiment with back to back long runs, like Percy Cerutty 60 mile weekends.

This is not true at all. Yes doubles are worth it and you can actually get in better shape by doing the same mileage in doubles than you would doing just singles.
