My goal is to drop significant time off my 3K before next March for Masters Nationals. This year I ran 10:01.01 on a flat indoor track after only 35 weeks of running with a 18 year layoff.
Now I have a year of running under my belt and am trying to figure out what to do to be best prepared to make that happen next year. I feel I should have am hair improvement next year. The build up for the first 35 weeks was 50 mile average.
What do I do between now and then?
Do I build mileage and train for a goal 5K/10K/HM in November then go into the indoor season training
Or
Do I do a 1500/3K build between now and November and then start with another 3K build in November for next indoor season?
I want to improve my speed as I feel that is what held me back as my coach rarely gave me speed work for the first indoor season.
What do I need to do to be my best in March 2018
