+1 OP is describing typical kidney stone symptoms.
Wouldn't Kidney stones be seen in my urine tho?
No - as people are already saying, stones are not visible until the exit the body. You are describing classic kidney stone pain; have you had your ultrasound yet?
People who have never had stones think (wrongly) that they work like this: the kidney magically/instantaneously makes a stone, and then once that happens you pee it out and it really hurts.
In reality, your kidney may have made a stone that was sitting there for a long time (ultrasounds can see stones just waiting to wreck havoc on you). For whatever reason - usually physical or emotional stress of some kind - the stone is dislodged and then makes a painful journey from your kidney to your bladder. It can stay there for days or longer, and this is likely where you're at now.
Once you pass it, which may or may not be excruciating, depending on the size of the stone, you'll still be in pain for a day or two b/c of the internal scratches. A stone that you can pee out without much trouble can still be incredibly painful when it's in your bladder.
