Their top 5 returners 3200 times are: 8:59, 9:07, 9:17, 9:24, and 9:32.
Plus a 9:33 and 9:43 for 6 and 7. If they aren't the favorites I'd like to see what the teams ahead of them did during this past track season.
True. And the 9:32 and 9:33 were mostly focusing on the 800 and the 1600 so they did not have many opportunities to shoot for fast times in the 3200.
That 9:32 did not run his best race at Loucks Games, and he actually ran a 9:27 indoors. At the state indoor 3200 meet he finished very close to Peter.
They also are returning a 9:45 who was very close to the 9:43 runner in so many 3200 races. So it kind of looks like their 1-6 are set, and there will be a good fight for the 7th spot between the 7th and 8th runner.
If there is any team that COULD challenge them at NXN, it would be FM. FM’s 1600 and 3200 times weren’t as good as LV’s 1600 and 3200 times, but last year FM executed better than anyone would have expected at NXN, and they were even younger than LV.
