The lateral heel/midfoot of my shoes wears down extremely fast, mostly on left foot. The outsole a couple inches from the back of the shoe wears down to the midsole after 100 miles on road shoes (multiple hoka models) and the lugs in the same spot on trail shoes wear flat after 100 miles on my left shoe (hokas and altras), so the base of the shoe is very uneven and causes issues. I'm not that heavy (5'11 160-165). I have flat feet but apparently supinate, as there is also slight wear on the lateral toe area. I used to run up to 150+ mpw but now I've been doing 30/40s because I can't just buy new shoes every couple of weeks. Anyone ever have a similar issue or can recommend shoes with more durable outsoles, or a type of professional I should see? I was thinking maybe I should see a chiro about possible hip alignment issues since the problem is mostly on my left side. Just looking for some input from the running community...thanks.
