So after reading what felt like a billion reviews online I was completely convinced that I wanted to buy a Landice L7 cardio console treadmill for $3900 delivered from my local retailer. Went in person to try it out and when I got it up to only 8mph (!!!) the console part started shaking like crazy! The belt and deck seemed to be totally stable from what I could tell but the console was shaky enough that there is no way I could stand running like that for any signifiant length of time. I was really floored because I thought these machines were supposed to be known for how sturdy/heavy/solid they are.
I then tested out an older model that was refurbished of the ProSports version. Got it up to the same speed and it was solid as a rock. I also looked at a used Landice L7 thats 10 years old from a facebook marketplace person in my area - it was quite beat up, obviously had some issue making a horrid noise when I ran on it and the lady admitted to literally never have done any maintenance or upkeep on it in the entire time she has owned it. However, that one also seemed solid despite the wretched (?motor?) noise.
Has anyone had experience with this? Has anyone run on the updated version of the Landice? Do you think the console may have been installed wrong somehow? The sales guy said he thought it might have been shaking since the iPad holder was attached to the console but that seems odd to me. This is the only Landice dealer in my area so I have nowhere else to go to try out a new model.
I'm pretty bummed because I really thought that was "the one" and now I feel back to square one. I wanted the Landice since I plan on putting in some serious miles with intervals etc on the machine (and likely my husband will as well) and the lifetime warranty is key.
Your help is much appreciated!
