Ice. Rolling. Inserts. New shoes. Calf stretch. Boot at night.
I just paid a doc $200 to tell my wife THE EXACT SAME THINGS I have been telling her to do since November. Maybe now she'll listen.

You should get better insurance.
Don't be so full of yourself. You may have been right but unless you are a doctor yourself why would anyone choose your advice over going to a professional? It's 200 bucks, not the end of the world....
Most women are wired to want the reassurance from a doctor.
My wife was convinced she had a blood clot in her leg due to a dime sized knot near the outside of her knee and it hurt to press on. Within about 3 minutes of a Google search I had narrowed down what it was to leukemia, a sore throat, influenza, a hang nail, HIV, mesothelioma, high cholesterol, migraines or pink eye.
Haha. That's not why she went there.
Agreed w poster above. Is this doctor middle-aged, wealthy, and single?
I've seen studies that people heal faster if told something by a doctor, rather than just reading the same solution.
The human body is not completely explainable.

PF is caused by air. Her doctor is a quack.
All those things are wrong. PF is not even an inflammatory condition. Treating it is a scam industry at this point, nobody really knows.
It will resolve on its own one day, or maybe not.
The funniest part is that both you and the doc are dispensing misguided advice. Ice, night splinting/boot, inserts, etc will not cure the symptoms or causes of PF.
You’re a lemming.
My point is that now she is doing all the things I told her to do, only she didn't do them when I told her to do them. I have been a runner and coach at pretty high levels (D1 runner, won two state cc championships as a coach) for 30+ years. I have had PF and helped athletes through it many times. Why does it take a doc to get her to listen.

Because you obviously don't do very good research when it comes to running injuries. Sounds like the doc doesn't either.

Maybe you come a cross as condescending in real life as you do in this thread and she just has no interest in listening to what you have to say
"I don't love you anymore" ?

Has she had her hearing tested? I mean, by a doctor?
Got some good pics of your wife grinding?
Want some?!

Ask her why she didn't listen to your advice and report back.
