Judging by the posters on this board, most runners are a-holes, too.

Very good post - I liked it - I love cycling AND running - the 2 can compliment each other very nicely - for me cycling is for easy days and running is for "hammer" days - I'll enter an occasional bike race,
You'll enter the occasional bike race?
No, you won't. Because that's not how bike racing works.
So now we've established that you don't know what you're talking about AND you're lying through your teeth.

Still got the race # on my bike from the last race I did (#299) they called it a 15K and it was actually 14.1K- seriously guy enough already - I don't care one bit if you believe me or not - it's not like there's cash being sent to my bank account if and when I post - there's no reason to get on here and lie about anything - I guess you fell asleep in school because only a moron would not get the correct context - clearly what was being said is this rider enters a bike race every once in awhile - like you go online and find 12 races on the list (or rides or rallies as sometimes they're called) and out of those 12, I'll do 1 or 2 of them. Is that really that hard to comprehend? - what's this "that's not how bike racing works" ok dude go take another hit of your whacky tobacky - not that complicated you go online fill out the form and pay with a credit or debit card then you pick up your number and show up for the race, or ride, or rally then you go ride it - and who's "we've"
? is that your gay friend or something - please go away and leave me alone
The 21 mile ride that was referred to was NOT A "WORKOUT" per se' , it mainly served as a way to get back home after delivering a 2001 Toyota Sienna minivan on a farm - between where I live and the farm is this Huge city where Dak Prescott plays- feel like I'm talking to a stupid bratty kid who you have to explain every last detail because they're too stupid to pick up context.
Hotter N Hell in Wichita Falls Tx or bust.
I'm not sure but I am seeing more and more cyclists who seem to look like they just like buying gear and not actually putting in work.
Doesn't matter. They'll yell ON YOUR LEFT regardless. Like you're suddenly going to do a Barry Sanders juke to the left or something.
Hahaha.
You don't even know what an actual bike race is.
Hilarious.

No, it's absolutely true.
You don't go do a workout in the middle of a city. Your entire paragraph is based on an idiotic premise to begin with.
You should stop talking about something you are clearly ignorant about.

I enjoy dismantling your super ignorant posts to show just how little you know about the subject you're so up in arms about.
Your ignorance is eclipsed only by your inability to acknowledge it.
Most of you younger guys trashing cyclists will soon enough find yourself drawn to that sport when 25 years of running destroys your knees and/or hips, as it did mine and most of my D1 teammates and those we ran against. None of us even made it to masters track. Enjoy your youth, at the time you think it will last forever.
You're right about your last sentence. The rest of your post is most likely garbage.

Rules on many MUPs require you to give warning when passing.
Nope, not garbage at all, but don’t bother saying why you think so.
I am middle aged, run more, and have less knee problems than when I was young.
The reasoning is that I do strength and stretch work for my hips.
Running only hurts your knees if your hips are weak.
Make a comeback..,

Cycling is the new golf. You go out and do deals while riding. Golf takes too much time and is for old lumpy white men. Cycling is for shiny young movers and shakers.
Is there something wrong with being white and male? And who TF do you think is cycling? Black women?
Cycling is a sport for euro aware elites. Hedge funders, venture capitalists, CEOs ride bikes now and do deals while riding. It is a lot easier to do long easy intensity on a bike vs running, and try doing a 4 hour run and talk about lots of different stuff. Much easier to do on a road bike.
Whats wrong with being white and male? Nothing other than the fact that brown skinned people are out working, out smarting, and out hustling you in most segments of the knowledge economy now.
Ladies and Gentlemen - I got a confession to make - CAT6 is right! I have never entered nor have I ever participated in a bike race - I've been lying through my teeth and the reason is simple - I've been getting paid money to lie about my bike riding abilities of which there are none - yea I confess, I can't even ride a bike - so sorry to lie to all of you - I've truly shamed the cycling world for my outrageous lies. In fact, the other day I tried riding my bike with training wheels and got 10 feet and plopped right on over - maybe perhaps one day if I ever learn how to ride, I can buy a house out in the countryside, because I now know it is AGAINST Federal law to train in the city - Federal law states you MUST train outside the city and never in the city and Federal law requires you to pedal at 100% max all out effort at all times while on the saddle. Now ladies and Gentlemen, I've just been informed that Cat6 is currently in France and he's with the tour - Cat6 is actually one of the actual Tour De France riders! Cat6's latest pro race was the Tour of California and his time trial stage of 21.6 miles Cat6 clocked a 43:12 - wow Cat6 averaged 30 MPH!!! I'm so poor that my ratty beat up car can't even hit 30MPH (because the engine may blow up). So everyone please give a shout out for Cat6's tour of California and let's all use positive thinking so Cat6 can wear the yellow jersey at the Tour de France- Good job Cat6 - you duh man!
I’ve taken to running 2-3 days and throwing in a day on the bike as the 10 or so years of 100 mile weeks have taken their toll. I’m not a serious biker so I’ve always wondered what the apporiate attire is for what equates to a hobby jogger.
One thing I’ve noticed is that female bicyclists are cute, but also nice often waving and saying hi as they pass. Guys are a-holes... you can wave or nod and get nothing back while running.
If you've never had a cycling license, you've never entered a bike race.
There. I hope that clears things up for you and sorry you wasted all that time writing that stream-of-consciousness drivel in an attempt to deflect attention from the fact you clearly no nothing about cycling or bike racing.
Hilarious.
Not true. I have raced three times in cycling and never had a license . Yeah I got beat but still did not have a license.
Also have done triathlons without all the bull stuff but did join to win masters duathlete of the year in texas one time.
Didn't spend much time as card carrying member of usatf other than when I ran the trails in 92.
Cycling today is like late 70,s disco or 80's heavy metal. So like Freddy mercury once said "get on your bikes and ride.
