One nation, under Dave.
One nation, that Dave can’t run across
So, when word went out earlier this year about dave’s “record attempt”, I honestly thought it was just a promotional stunt. Every charity in the world needs publicity, right? Plus, dave has been in poor form since that 24-hour in 2015.
Fast forward to this MB, and suddenly the doubters were being silenced by trolls. I contacted rojo and asked if we were going to be able to make our case? He said most of these “records” seem to be fakes, and any legitimate attempt would love the publicity.
Any chance of a record was gone on day 1, way too far. Al never did even 120 kms, and he was a much better runner. Crash & burn, fine.
Then, resurrection! Immediately they questioned the numbers. The main theories were fake data, or using 2 or 3 gps devices, or drugs (which could only help in the near term). Or possibly all 3!
At no time did dave consider walking or slowing down in any way.
I posted “Mobility As Instinct” in 2015, having analyzed both real & phony transcons. 1000 miles/3 weeks tends to be an acid test, either way. Perhaps someday they will discover drugs that are more effective long-term, but I’ve argued that we’re already so well-designed for distance, that improvements may never occur.
Meanwhile they were posting about the joy of prairies! Even dave knows that’s complete bs, in retrospect. By now, a gazillion red flags.
First zero day, the hacks of LetsRun started, especially the next 5 days. Someone clearly had time on their hands to silence their enemies.
nothing about the attempt was phony. He just failed. Two very different things. Not sure why you’re still talking about it.
Also, you don’t know what the word hacking means. I’m surprised you can use an internet capable device at all.

Poor stupid Jesse doesn’t have the mental capacity to figure out that if you capitalize an “i” it looks like a lower case “L”. So instead of just realizing someone registered a different username using a capital “i” for the “L” in “riley” his idiotic conspiracy theory addled mind thinks Letsrun was hacked. His powers of deduction are breathtaking. How that idiot gets through day to day life without the help of a full time caregiver is beyond me. It explains why as an actual adult he still only worked part time at places like Fast Buck Freddie’s. Just not the sharpest knife in the drawer.

Exactly.
