Won't run footlocker, won't run US Juniors. Just content to dominate weaker "national championships."

Why so obsessed with racing a sophomore into the ground?

Well ideally she would not race these nonsense meets like NBN and go to race the best in the world/nation.
Rumor out of the north Rockland camp is that she wants to run footlocker this year not nxn and be the 1st girl to win both.
Not a chance.....she will always put team first. She has nothing to prove
New Balance is the high school national meet. Not only did she win, she broke the national record.
Tuohy is 30 seconds faster than the 2nd best runner in XC do it doesn’t which meets she runs, they are all weak competitor for her, including footlocker.

Really then why did she not run dmr at Penn and instead ran a mile at some c level local meet that same weekend and why not run dmr at nbno?
Seems her (and her parents ) are all about her and not all about the team
She’s not obligated to race at every meet you want her to. Clearly her parents and coaches have her on some type of plan they think will work best for a sophomore.
She is in 10th grade.
Let her have fun. She can dial in her senior year in preparation for a university career.
And forget going pro in lieu of college. This sport doesn't have enough financial rewards, and this young woman is raised in a suburban American environment where going to college is what she is being prepared to do in life. Yes, going pro and pursuing college are not mutually exclusive, but again, she is in a culture where her entire eco-system prepares young people for a university life.
Why doesn’t ‘Running Commentor’ understand that hard, cold numbers dictate who’s who on the track…and the numbers 4:14, 4:33, 9:09, 9:37, 15:37 and 169SR, CLEARLY say, “You come to me if you want to have a go at this. The party is wherever I am.”
It’s not that hard to ‘get’, son.

^This person gets it
Foot locker is the National Championship for kids who want to avoid the best.
I've said this before but no one will respond.
First- Footlocker had the chance to go with teams and said no.
Second- Great teams have great runners (at least in the top 2 spots). If they have to choose they'll choose to run with their teams. If that means missing FL Regionals then that weakens FL.
Third- If a great individual has to make a choice they are going to choose the race where the better runners in their region go.
In NY/Northeast that is the Nike Meet.

Someone comes up with 10 years, 500K per year at 18 (and probably will pay for college). Why pass on that even if from white upper middle class family? Upside here is that a good coach could then look at long-term development and she would not be a situation where she is over-raced and injured. I think one of the great things Salazar did with Rupp was take the long term approach and had the clout to have Oregon go along with it.
I can make an argument that one year of college running could be good in learning how to compete and race since right now is anyone even close to her during a race or is she essentially running time trials every time out?
Time trials every time out. Tuohy has made it abundantly clear that going pro isn’t an option until she’s done with college.

Fyi she would've destroyed Macarthur in the 15 and Logue in the 3k. Also Lane in xc if you wanna go there. I don't think she's old enough for juniors anyway. She's proved she can run in the heat as well as the cold NY weather, while we have people making excuses for why Cali athletes can never perform at NXN.
She ducked Footlocker because she knows she would have been utterly cucked by the true national champ, Claudia Lane.
She avoids the 800 because she knows she lacks true foot speed.
She basically only cherry picks races she knows she can win. Kind of wimpy, if you ask me.
Katelyn Tuohy would've been starting her interview with Flotrack when Claudia Lane crossed the finish line if she went to Footlocker.
Stop stupiding up the "World Famous Message Boards".

(I'll not bite re your comments on Claudi Lane, but I am replying to your second sentence above.)
Yeah, that's why she also avoids 100m, 200m & 400m races. I do hope she develops raw speed, but you are ridiculous.
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
