Shubenkov doing Russia proud. Maybe high on spirits after the victory over Egypt today in the Cup?
He's getting better and better. 12.99 is a big time. Can he get the World Record this year?

All I'm seeing there is Dibaba 5:27 2000m. Wow. WR is 5:25.36.
4th fastest time all time just behind her own third place.
She is back in shape. Expect big things this year.
He's one of my favorite athletes to watch. Unbelivable combination of speed, power, and grace. Fun, cool guy too. I hope he does get it. Should lower this by at least .1 sec by mid summer.

Not sure he has any competition at his level anymore. I dont see anyone else going under 13 this year.

110m hurdles is a different animal. One misstep or clipped hurdle leaves a very small margin for error, so this event is never a given. Just off his PR, with a great race he may be the only one who can challenge for the WR this year (with a few other contenders for WRs in the jumps and 400m hurdles as well).
Video for Shubenkov's WL run:
Love the announcer's enthusiasm.

Perhaps if there were ions in the air such as in the NCAA champs, that would have been a 12.89?

One thing that stands out is the genuine enthusiasm by his competitors in congratulating him after the race (especially Martinot-Lagarde smiling, doing a little dance together and hugging). I know it's a low-key meet and all but I doubt we'd see this reaction from Coleman if Gatlin busted out a 9.69 to his 9.88, and they're compatriots. Probably some sense of solidarity from participating in a non-marquee event, but cool to see nonetheless.
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06

Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
