Women's preview is now up as well:
Plus the latest from Des Moines including insight from today's press event which included Robby Andrews:
Am I getting this right? Will we not be able to watch our sport’s national championship tomorrow without paying $70?? Please tell me I’m reading something wrong
I have called every sports bar in town and nobody has NBC sports gold.
Brazier is fresh. He really runs great when he is fresh. Freshman year Francique tells him 51 /54 for his first college indoor 800. He delivered . I hope things go well for him this week.

Almost right.
NBC Sports, NBC Sports Gold and Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA combine to air daily live coverage of the USA Track and Field Outdoor Championships from Thursday through Sunday in Des Moines, Iowa

Why not a night meet? Low pollen, cool temps. Have the short sprints in the day though.

It is NOT $70 to watch this meet. With that gold package you get many many many events. If you cannot watch it live (like I can't with the DL meets) they are on full replay right after the event so I can watch later that evening. Plus you get the international feed which has no commercial breaks and much better announcers. So a very good deal and NOT $70 like so many think for just 1 meet.
Let’s go Jenkinssssss!!¡
Agreed. NBC Sports Gold is way better than Flotrack or usatf.tv especially when considering bang for your buck. I don't know why can't NBC and USATF just partner so we get all of the major/national races. I'd pay extra to get all of the USATF races via the nbc sports gold app.

Agreed with this, $70 per year is a no-brainer in my mind. I get the hesitancy with paying $150 for flotrack, but $70 for all the Diamond League meets plus USAs? That's a great deal.

Heat 1 of steeple was super uneventful. Very slow.

Heat 2 Frerichs pulled away with ease final 2 laps (Heat 1 Coburn was ahead early)

Except it's not a great deal when you can literally watch every other major sport in the US on TV for free
Not to be a downer, but USA BADMITTON is on the Olympic channel over track & field...
Do you want to talk about major sports or about track and field? It's a niche market. That said, I'm surprised that with the proliferation of cable channels it's not possible for someone to pick this up for a live broadcast. I guess NBC Gold is the best we've got--an obscure channel for what by American standards is an obscure sport.

.
So you'd expect NBCSN or the Olympic Channel to put on qualifying for 8 hours today? Maybe show the 10ks on TV but a lot of sports have some stuff online now. PGA golf. Early groups go off online only.
Today's schedule is not that great. NBC gold needs a monthly subscription and a one/off subscription.
All Final Events should be free. If you can barely fill the stands, you should not charge online. Grow the sport, don't kill it.
Heat 1 of 800 Charlene Lipsey wire to wire.
Heat 2 Ce'Aira Brown cruised on 2nd lap.
CROATIA SCORES. Argentine about to go out of World Cup.
