No you don't need 9 hours of sleep, 7 is honestly fine, just get more than 6
Getting 6 hours a night on a routine basis (for most people training hard) would lead to low energy and sub optimal performance and benefit from workouts. As long as you’re getting 7 hours sleep a night you will be okay. But 8-9 is optimal. Getting 6-7 hours of sleep once or twice a week wont hurt you as long as you’re getting 8-9 hours most days a week.
hours: unhealthy
hours: unhealthy
hours: kinda unhealthy tbh. it’s alright for some people who have naff all to do and arent using that much energy but not really great for a runner/someone with a mentally or physically hard job
hours: okay/fair
.5 hours: good
hours: good
.5 hours: excellent
hours: excellent
hours: getting this amount of sleep should be considered a treat (a lie in) at a weekend. Otherwise, only do this if needed as too much bed-time will cause muscles to cramp up in the same way being sedentary would.
hours: meh. ^ same as 10 hours. Dont do it often but if it’s needed once in a while then it’s needed.
hours: unhealthy/will provide no benefit
