Guys. I've been running for 9 years now, and have seen some improvement here and there. But at the end of the day, I still can't even break 15 for the 5k, and my mile time is embarrassing.
As I approach a decade of running, I feel like this is a good time to consider hanging up the spikes. Do I do it? Is it worth the fitness to wake up every morning knowing I'm a hobby jogger? This sport chews people up and spits them out.
Currently, I see three options:
1. Give up. start gymming twice a week and doing HIIT
2. Become an ultrarunner, forget about speed.
3. Give it one last shot.
Looking forward to all the advice from the LRC.
