For those that have worn either model, just looking for some feedback. Assume I am relatively lightweight and will be finishing under 2:30. Are the 1400s enough shoe? Are the Zantes too much shoe?

What’s relatively lightweight?

I am the same height and weight at Ritz
I run in both and like the 1400 better. A little lighter and smoother feeling.
Note what might be a key difference for some is that the 1400 has a 10mm drop and the zante has a 6mm drop.
nb 1400, or 1500

You´re not being funny, idiot.
What distances have you raced in the 1400? I've raced 5K-HM in Zantes and like them a lot, and I've done lots of intervals in them, but I've also thought about giving the 1400s a try. Like the OP, I'm looking at a fall marathon.

Another retarded post under a different name.
You can’t go wrong with either one. The Zantes are about 8.2 ounces. 1400s are about 7.7 ounces.
They both have good structure around the midfoot.
However the 1400s are a 10mm drop shoe, not a fan of that. Does not promote a natural stride to me. Also the 1400s have a polymer shank in the midfoot. That could cause foot discomfort during long long mileage runs.
I would go with Zantes for a full marathon, and the 1400s for 1mile to 10k races. 1400s are definitely lighter but for long long races, comfort is going to really matter.
me also, too wrote:

I've raced up to half marathon and do longer runs up to 15 miles in them. They just seem to fit better and feel like an extension of my foot. I have a bad achilles, so the heel counter and drop work well for me.
Should mention, I am using 1400V5, which is a little more form-fitting. The V6 fits more generously in the toebox.

You’re a retard and so is your fat sister.

The idea that offset has anything to do with form is idiotic. The drop of a Hoka is 4mm, the LT4 is 4 as well. One provides no incentive to have a natural running form and one does. It has nothing to do with offset and entirely to do with cushioning and "stability features". Also, if you run in the 1400 you'll run with better form than you will in a Hoka. Let's stop pretending like offset has anything to do with form. Fast shoes run fast and efficiently, slow shows run slow and inefficiently.
