A little backstory first, my friend is obsessed with staying “fit”.
I say it with quotation marks because he avoids all desserts and CARBS while running 10 miles a day at 6:30 pace.
While he is a nice guy outside this subject, recently he’s been getting on my nerves by asking me to follow him on his suicide runs and asking me if “I feel guilty for eating cake or cookies or carbs” and reiterating that he never eats any.
I’m holding back for now, but I’m always resisting the urge to explain that my 4:30/1:59 absolutely destroys his 5:20/2:30. Although I’m not that fast, Idk where he gets the idea that I should follow his lead for training or diet. We are both pretty skinny 1600/800 runners.
Thoughts? Thanks in advance.
