Lukaku is on fire.
OMFG, Belgium up 4-1 now. Just manufacturing goals at this point. They look like the best team in the tournament so far.
Scottish football doesn't have the cash (TV revenue) to compete with the English league.
The view of Scottish football from south of the border is typified by this rookie appointment to manage Rangers!
https://www.theguardian.com/football/2018/may/04/steven-gerrard-appointed-as-new-manager-of-rangersBelgium's lack of a good defense will be its downfall this tournament. One thing to beat up on the likes of Tunisia. Another thing when you start taking on the traditional powers.
They are a very intriguing team though. Roberto Martinez has them playing a good style of football and when you have that good of an offense and midfield, the threat of a deep run is always there. Love Big Rom (Lakaku) and Hazard is a beast. Martens up top is a dangerous weapon as well. Shitty back line. They are going to need a monster game from their GK Courtois at some point in this tournament when they play a better team.

Vincent Kompany should be coming back for the England game, so that should shore things up for Belgium at the bit. Belgium seems to have solved their problem of not looking cohesive together and is creating a ton of opportunities. But Panama and Tunisia are not the best competition.
Mexico is looking pretty good as well, but defense could be their downfall as well. Ochoa has to make a ton of saves and a team that can finish better than South Korea would probably have a couple goals in this game.
I'm amazed by how fragile goalkeepers seem to be. All soccer players are a bit dramatic, but the keepers seem to be on a whole other level as experiencing horrible pain as a result of the most minor contact.
Interesting, Khedira and Ozil are starting on the bench for Germany.

Smart move. Theyve proven themselves detrimental to the team in the first game. Germany should play better now.

Unfortunately, their defense is still full of holes. Sweden up 1-0 thanks to a bad pass from Germany.
The German Machine in serious trouble if not even getting out of the first round! Wow. They better get it together quick.
Germany look to be a shell of themselves. Almost as bad as Argentina.

Terrible non-PK call on the Boateng shove - was glad to see the Swedes get redemption. Germany is just not producing as many quality chances as we are used to seeing, and the few they do result in poor finishing. They’ll get one in the net this game if I had to bet though, just not sure how many more errors they will make to open them up for another Swedish goal.
Looks like Germany has found a weak spot. They are doing deep crosses into the box and just piling it on.
Das hört sich schon besser an!
Royce was clowning with the back heel in front of goal. Should have been 2-1 GER.
Germany with two slow refugees now in the back. Not sure why they do that. They can only hope their offensive firepower can pull them through.

Is Rüdiger a refugee from a different part of Germany? Also, Boeteng was born in Germany.
Wow, Boetang is out. Stupid challenge but deserved a card. Two yellows =Red. Looks like this is the end for Germany.
