This is the real problem with drug cheats, they cannot be reformed. I used to workout with a guy at the gym who used to do a whole host of, what I can only assume, non-WADA approved drugs. He got off them after a heart attack but every time we would workout he would say, "man when i was on **drug** I could lift XX more pounds and do XX more reps before exhaustion." He couldn't get his past performance off his mind.
I imagine that runners near their prime who make a living off of running must have even more pressure to go back on the sauce. Don't you think?
