go play baseball, or literally every other sport on the planet because the USA is the greatest.
Strong nation but just not good at playing soccer. We've never even had one great player on the world stage. The MLS is a step in the right direction but until they adopt a Sept - May schedule like the rest of the world it will still be a backwater league.
At least soccer gave us Galen Rupp and many other men and women runners.

Rupp gave up soccer at 14 when he was "discovered" by Salazar. He was never a soccer star.

Qualifying for the world cup in CONCACAF is not easy.
To qualify for the world cup the USA had to play semi-professional players from Trinidad & Tobago, and the USA put in a brave display before ultimately losing 2-1.
There is no shame in losing to semi-professional island nations or finishing below powerhouses like Panama.
I have a strong feeling the USA will qualify for the 2026 world cup without any problems.

Where did I ever say that Galen Rupp was a soccer star? I only stated that he was playing soccer before he found running. Reading comprehension is a good thing, you should try it some time.
