I'm pretty liberal but everyone knows that bisexual people are gay/lesbian people that are coming to terms with being gay/lesbian.

I was going to say what the guy about three posts ahead of me said. I don't think there are actually very many genuine bisexuals. People who call themselves that are often gays who are softening the impact of coming out...often to themselves.

I think the number of bi people just seems low because most people who can pass for straight will do so. If you like guys and girls equally, it's really just easier to date girls and never tell anyone that you're bi. People probably only "come out" as bi if they already lean toward the gay end of the spectrum and would rather date men.
