The guy just seems down to earth, with a fantastic work ethic. I get the impression that he is smart enough to not be a "live or die on this one workout" kind of dude. The series shows him coming off an injury, and mentally speaking, he deals with his bounce-back in a way that even the average guy like me can appreciate. I may not have the masseuses, but I can "keep biting" at my own goals.
Also, beware of blood clots around the soleus from pre-compartment syndrome Ches. That's what will make your calf swell up like that. Speaking from personal experience... And good luck!
