Has anyone gone to the University of Chicago Track Club Thursday night open track meets? How many people usually turn out, what type of standard etc? Thinking of going tomorrow night. Anyone done this before? Thanks

I've gone the last two years. The two mile is usually ~10-flat, the 5k around 16-flat, mile won in the 440 range. I think in years past faster people turned out, but not since I've been going. Good atmosphere, fun community event. Takes a looong time. The sprints are mostly school kids whereas the distance events have some older folks.
It's well organized, but it's geared more for kids. The adult and masters turnout is very small, so you would be racing against
grade school and high school kids. That's fine if the heats are eclectic, where there is a balance of adults, teenagers, and kids. But that just isn't the case.
Lots of races, lots of fun, all age groups....Paul Perry is a regular(70 plus national champion in the mile)...800 can have as many 5 different group levels/races. Timers and volunteers are excellent
I have a woman I coach who's moving out there in July. She's around 17-flat or better for 5K. Any good clubs or groups around for her to train with?
I went tonight. It was a ton of fun. Lots of kids but high school and college aged runners too. 2 mile winner was 10:30, mile was 5:00, 800 was 2:05.
