Looks a lot slower than Louisville for sure. Should be a good course for spectators also

Now if only USATF would hold xc club nats at the same location the day before. It would do two things: 1. create a better atmosphere for NCAA nats. 2. have a lot more people participating in club nats. Our governing body isn't smart enough to do that though.

have the UCS Club on a Friday? Wonder if they would get many running as this would mean many in the club race would need to take an extra day off work as I bet many have full time job
But the NCAA would never let it happen. What if it rained the course for the NCAA meet would be a sloppy mess after the USATF Club races got down with it

You mean like a real cross country race, yes that would be terrible!

Nobody wants their XC course wrecked. These things require maintenance, man.
Just a few blocks from my house. I run the course regularly. It's manicured like a lawn, almost as nice as the University Ridge golf course located next to it. Fairly flat (for this side of town) but slow. Great for spectators once you're on the course. Parking will be a nightmare. Shuttle buses from various locations a mile or so away most likely. (That's what they do for golf tournaments.)
The routings for the 6K, 8K and 10K courses have changed from what was run at the Invitational and Regional in prior years. They've dropped the finger loops and are using the perimeter more.
Very excited for this wrote:

Why do you say the course is slow? Footing is perfect, no abrupt turns and hills are all for the most part gradual. Times in the past have been fast. Beautiful course.

This is a great idea but you are right USATF wouldn’t play along. USATF is a sanctioning body, only, and its championship locations are limited to those venues that place bids. USATF does not specifically place events based on where they would like them to go.
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?

Mark Coogan says that if you could only do 3 workouts as a 1500m runner you should do these
Red Bull (who sponsors Mondo) calls Mondo the pole vaulting Usain Bolt. Is that a fair comparison?
